the next day, we have to pass the athabasca glacier on our way to the dude ranch, so we pull off to see the 'toe' of the glacial. to think, we were way, way up there just 2 days ago


we leave banff national park (AB) and enter kootenay national park (BC) - here's the continental divide, and the provincial flags

this is the 'paint pots' the aboriginals used for ceremonies (ochre beds)

fierce tries to sneak into the muck, but i call him back before he gets in too deep

here's the walls of sinclair canyon at the other end of kootenay; we're almost there...  the dude ranch that is - oh, the excitement
