PromCom or How to get from There to Here

1. pepper wrote a play over the summer, a rom-com full of highschool stereotypes getting ready for prom
2. she submitted it to her teacher who agreed it would be 1 of the 2 Lourdes offerings that went to the Sears Drama Festival
3. pepper took on the role of director and cast her play
4. .....lots of time and hard work
5. its debut was to be March 1st but a storm pushed that to the 4th (lucky for us as we were still in cuba)

before it began, i warned my family that there was no point in offering constructive criticisms once it was over as this was a one shot deal...that we should stick with the positives.

it was amazing. and SO funny.

as the curtain went down, i was speechless, near tears. i couldn't believe she had created such a wonderful play.

we tell our children that success will come if only they put in the hard work required - yet there are many times that they do work diligently, but are not recognized.

so i'm thrilled that fierce's diligent preparations for his intermediate rudiments (theory) exam - hours upon hours of practice exams and vocabulary quizzing - paid off
and earned him a whooping 96%!

getting ready for bosco's medieval (school) party

all set for tomorrow: a little bit of tin foil on the hockey pads, some red fabric, and a newly-constructed helmet.

we forgot to take a picture of all the weapons bosco 'made' (rob helped, a lot) and then sold/rented to his classmates...
a regular little entrepeneur, he is.

quite a few of bosco's classmates are taking tennis with him, so one of the moms decided to have a party/picnic as an end-of-the-year celebration.
figures that now i've finally found a spot in this group, bosco has to switch schools...

i was boiling mad at St.Peter's when she was in grade 4 (the only other year she's been in school for the full grade, and so attended the awards ceremony) with her 3 token stickers that everyone & anyone could achieve -
well,
her second year at this 'game', and she's loaded down with kudos...

bosco's project

such an excited student, bosco arrives home full of ideas and plans for his project on mammals.
he gets to choose any one mammal, create it's habitat, and describe how it lives.

when you open the box:

rob shaped the polar bear with plasticine, but bosco added all the details. the ringed seal is clay, and bosco did it all himself.
