rob runs for council

it's a family affair:

pepper designed buttons for rob's campaign.

I made pamphlets and delivered them door-to-door,
and designed his website

rob prepared answers for the Tribune, Mercury, and others,
attended debates,
and spent hours talking on stoops and porches

thank-you & goodbye

it was a great job for pepper while she was in grade 9 & 10,
one hour after school, every day, at $10 an hour

but her charges are moving to vancouver, so she'll be looking for another job come the fall

i'm sure she'll look back on these days with fondness (and miss that easy $200 a month!)


(in case you are wondering what she did with the $4000 she earned over those 2 years: nothing. she saved not ONE penny. she spent it all on clothes & make-up...)
(that's another thing that's going to change in the fall)

my first chainsaw

you got to hand it to rob:
our tree needed a trim and he had no problem letting the boys tackle the chainsaw. me, i was nervous they'd get hurt, and i ran inside as soon as i snapped the photos

he won 3rd place!

bosco's recital

with his 4th and final year of MYC, bosco graduates grade 1 (he'll 'do' his practical exam in june) but for now, he's such a great player - he's asked to play the prelude during the recital

with cadets done for the year (they have a strict nail polish rule), pepper gets her first manicure:

and in the middle of each perfect snowflakes is a teeny piece of bling.
they do look awesome.  and not at all skanky.  whew
