NYC: thursday

our first experience of midtown traffic, and it was practically stand still. we got to the port authority around 3:30pm, bought our metropasses, and had a looksee at time square.
we entered the first of many broadway lotteries:
lucky for us, wicked and the book of mormon have different showtimes (and are located down the street from each other) so we are able to enter both

 here's the procedure:
1.  write your name and address on a slip of paper and place in drum
2.  be prepared with picture ID to prove who you are, and cash to pay for the tickets
3.  wait


pepper and i enjoyed all our lottery experiences - there's a crowd, and people are excited, and you end of chatting with fellow tourists about the best part of NY they've seen so far


we had dinner locally, shopped at hello kitty and forever 21, and wandered around the bright lights of broadway
