best mother's day e.v.e.r.

for the first time, all 3 of my children did something for me without prodding from rob -
i couldn't have been more happy, or more proud
no more buckets of lollipops with cries of "can i have one?" before i even unwrap it... and i don't even like lollipops!

bosco was directed, at school, to write me a french poem which was charming.
but he also created (totally on his own) a card for me in english. and he'd hidden it away in the 'secret compartment' for 4 days. that's forward planning :)
fierce snuck around the house, gathering supplies without my knowledge, and made an exquisite card of 2 colours with a sentiment i felt sure was ripped from hallmark, but came from his own sweet heart: you taught the world to love.      awww...
pepper showed me her class' sad little effort with contempt (a tea caddy made from dollar store materials - a waste on so many levels) two days earlier, telling me it wasn't worthy of any of the mothers.
and then this morning, she - bless her sweet, dear heart - sang me a song she wrote herself to the tune of cee lo's F* you
