wizarding world of harry potter

it all started with a book.
and no, not the first one - or the second, or third...
no.  it was when fierce read this one: over 2 years ago, when he liked the harry potter series so much that, at the age of 9, he undertook his first HUGE book
and that's when i told him: read the whole series, and i'll take you to harry potter world :)

(pepper read the books after fierce did, and bosco mostly listened to them on CD - he read the first book, and we took turns reading chapters from the third.
towards the end it was a bit of a marathon to get them finished before we left for our trip)
the place looks great - charming and authentic.  anybody wanting a coke, or a burger, needs to get it in another 'world'.  here it's all hogsmeade, all the time

we took in ollivander's show (where one lucky watcher gets pulled out of the audience to have as a customer: where the wand chooses YOU)

and i couldn't have been more pleased when fierce was pulled from the audience to be the chosen one!

it was magical.
fierce tried a few spells (that went wrong of course!) until he found the perfect match for him

(and lucky for us as well because all the children planned to buy a wand, there are SO many wands to choose from, and he is our slowest decision maker)
