while making a stop at a roadside corn stand, i saw an unleashed dog resting outside the door of a cafe. to be honest, i'm sort of nervous of large dogs and made a wide berth as i entered a neighboring store. fierce did the same as he followed, but on our way out i was surprised to see him approach the dog, extend his hand - palm down - and let the dog smell him.
